SCUBA & Boating Services

Project Gary is a divemaster and Master SCUBA Diver Trainer, certified by the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI #250556). He is certified to teach basic PADI SCUBA courses, including Discover SCUBA®, Open Water Diver, Adventure Diver, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster, as well as the following specialities:

1: Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN)
2: Maritime Archaeological and Historical Society (MAHS)
3: Nautical Archaeology Society (NAS)

He also teaches PADI ReActivate SCUBA Refresher and Bubblemaker courses.

Gary was originally certified in SCUBA by the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation — source of the first recreational SCUBA certification in the U.S. — in 1967 at the age of 13. Gary was re-certified by PADI in 1991 as one of the original divers with the Colchester Rescue Dive Team in Colchester, Vermont.

Gary's primary home dive locale is in the waters off of Daytona Beach, Florida, and also leads trips from Jupiter and down the southeast Florida coast, to points in the Florida Keys. Gary also has extensive dive experience in Lake Champlain, Vermont. Other favorite diving is in the Caribbean (particularly Antigua, Aruba, The Bahamas, Curaçao, and Yucatan Peninsula), the coast of western Mexico, Hawaii (a favorite!!!), the Coral Sea, and Indian Ocean (Perth and Mauritius). He is happy to lead tours, teach Discover Local Diving courses, or work to refresh certified, but rusty, divers!

Gary will also work with individuals, families, or small groups to create a customized course and dive experience in any number of geographic locations. Please contact him for further information.

Gary also holds a U.S. Coast Guard 50 GT Master license, as well as a Tow Assist endorsement. He will gladly offer tours in the Daytona area, help new boaters to orient to the inland and off-shore waters around Ponce Inlet, or provide other boating-related services. Gary is also able to assist with boat relocation services.

For additional information, contact Gary or read his SCUBA and maritime resume.
